PCC yachts cruised to various places over the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Destinations included Cardiff Bay, Combe Martin & Minehead.
On the Friday tide, 2 boats left Crockerne Pill and 1 departed from the Hole.
Saturday saw Misty Lady & Kindred Spirit set off at high water and join John Hoskins at Cardiff Yacht Club whilst Sophie B departed Chapel Pill and headed for Lynmouth, entering the harbour on the evening tide. On Sunday, Misty Lady left for Minehead and Cardiff Bay welcomed 4 yachts making their way back north, Fly & Rosetta from Padstow & Isis Tres from Combe Martin and Shamal. Sophie B went into the new marina at Porthcawl.
Monday saw all PCC yachts sailing up channel to their home berths, including Avalon who was returning from a longer cruise to the Scilly Isles.
Last weekend 10/11th May was Newport and Uskmouth Yacht Club rally but the ‘wet and windy’ weather forecast dissuaded PCC members from sailing there. Kindred Spirit left Crockerne Pill and went into Portishead Marina for the weekend. Misty Lady and Sarapat crews travelled to Newport by road on Saturday.
