Here is an update by the Sailing Secretary:
We’ve had a busy few days of racing: the Portishead leg of the Shanghai and Nimrod Cups took place on Sat/Sun, followed by Cockburn 2 last night.
At the weekend we had 18 boats (4 from Swansea, 1 Newport, 6 PCC, 7 CBYC) competing in 4 v enjoyable races over 2 days. Special thanks to Simon (Hero) for leading the PCC organisation, especially the Sat evening dinner at H&W. Results here:
Last night was a taste of summer for Cockburn 2 with light airs and bright sunshine for the 8 competitors – results here:
Next up we have the Cardiff leg of the Shanghai and Nimrod Cups on the weekend of 20/21 May. Many of the PCC fleet will lock out late Friday afternoon for another weekend of racing, returning late Sunday night. I know some boats are short of crew so if you’re interested in helping out then do let me know. This will be followed by Cockburn 3 on Thurs 25 May, with starts at 19:00 and 19:05 (for cruiser and IRC fleets respectively) off Avonmouth.
