Racing

Bright sunshine and a decent breeze for Cockburn 1 last night, our first evening race of the year. Results are attached – congratulations to Hero and White Spirit.

Last weekend also saw the Portishead leg of the Shanghai Cup, organised by CBYC. Conditions were perfect and there were some great performances by PCC boats – Budge is lying 1st in the NHC fleet, Songline third, and Hero is 5th in the IRC fleet. Provisional results for the IRC and NHC fleets:

The second and final leg is the weekend of 30-Apr in Cardiff and we wish our teams the best of luck. I know they’ve been struggling for crew so if you fancy a weekend away taking part in the best racing series in the Bristol Channel there may still be places available. Let me know if you’d like to join them or contact the skippers directly.

Back in home waters the next PCC race is Cockburn 2 on Friday 6 May – start is off Avonmouth at 19:00 for the slow fleet and 19:05 for the fast – hope to see lots of you then
