Sailed up out of the Morbihan to Lorient to ride out the tail end of hurricane Bertha which went through on Sunday morning but the cold front is now with us and the winds still strong. Gusting 20 Knots as I write this but the for caste is for less wind tomorrow and though it is on the nose the 8 Knots forecast should give us an apparent of around 13 which should be OK for the seven hours mostly against the tide up to Benodet.
The one stroke of luck was that the Celtic festival was on in Lorient town and they run a great Bateau Bus around the various marinas so we were able to get up to town and join the fun.
We were hoping to go into Port Tudy on Ile de Groix but we are now running behind schedule for the Raz De Sein so it’s on up at full speed. From Benodet to Audierne for an overnight anchor behind the harbour wall and then the next day (Saturday) through the Raz to Cameret.
